I’m a Libra. Born in October, drawn to a good aesthetic, this comes off as fairly obvious at first glance: I thrive socializing and I aim to find balance in whatever I’m doing. Though I’ve been following astrology for most of my life, I’ve used it more as a tool to gauge how planetary alignment could affect me. (No, Mercury retrograde isn’t as scary as it’s made out to be.) But, I’ve never really let it dictate my actions—until now.

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to sample the AstroTwins collab with StolenTime resort in paradise—Castries, St. Lucia—officially launching in early 2025. The twins (celebrity astrologers Tali and Ophira Edut) had prepared detailed itineraries for each person based on their signs, along with other little tips and tricks to make the most out of our time by “encouraging guests to use astrology as a tool for their own self-care routines,” according to the press release.

From morning until night, I’d be ruled by the planet of Venus (who rules Libra, and also the sign of Taurus). As in: I was to get on a plane, show up somewhere, and let my entire experience be dictated by my chart. I was torn between relishing in the opportunity to turn my brain off and be a travel princess, and fear of missing out on a cool adventure that wasn’t part of my schedule (us Libras don’t always want or need to be center of attention, but we do love to be in the middle of the action).

So, I let go, and let Venus—ruler of love and beauty—and the AstroTwins, do their thing.

      A bit about StolenTime

StolenTime is a mental-wellness-first resort, nestled into the northern coast of St. Lucia, that offers everything from water aerobics to massages to champagne tastings. It’s the sister resort of popular fitness getaway Body Holiday (where, fun fact, Saint Lucian runner Julien Alfred trained for her gold medal Olympic run over the summer).

Upon arrival, after a scenic ride from the airport through the rainforest, my group and I were welcomed with energizing rum punch cocktails—sans rum, and still just as good—as a guide led us to where we’d be staying. Situated towards the back of the resort were our rooms overlooking the gardens, which meant I woke up daily to a symphony of birds and bright, lush greens (it made me wish I were a chameleon able to process colors in a way that would probably make my brain explode).

Even without the astrology package, I can honestly say the resort itself would be a major draw for me and future vacations. It was legitimately gorgeous, and exactly what one would hope for with rooms starting at $855 a night (yes, it’s pricey, but it is all-inclusive, if that helps lessen the sting). But my experience was made even better by the fact that my itinerary—from dawn to dusk—would be handcrafted by the AstroTwins.

In fact, upon arrival, I was given a paper read-out of what my next four days would look like, and in my room sat an entire *binder* that told me all about the resort itself, gave a detailed map of the property (I kept that thing on me), and a card to hand off which would signal if I wanted different pillows (we love choices).

I was also equipped with an astro-themed packet detailing the activities that were planned for me each day, along with the activities of my travel companions, in case I wanted to add or switch some things around. Also in this packet were a few guidelines on how to navigate our trip based on our signs: For an Aries in the group, a push towards spicy and warmly seasoned foods was encouraged; for me, a Libra, I was encouraged to try something new and novel, but also pretty.

      Resort rates:

Rooms start at $855/night. Beachfront suites start at $1117/night.

Book directly at StolenTime or on Expedia. *Cost does not include AstroTwins package or offsite activities, which start at $89 per activity.

      Eating around the resort

Though our itineraries were thorough and personalized, we were encouraged to dine wherever we liked each day, choosing from three restaurants and two open-air bars. This was honestly ideal for me because I’m super picky about food (this isn’t a Libra trait; I just like food a lot). Our first night included a West Indian buffet meal at the hotel’s Terrace Restaurant—an open-air patio with 360 degree views of the most gorgeous blue ocean.

And let me tell you, having unlimited access to fragrant, heaping piles of curried goat while watching the sun set over foamy crashing waves really did something for me. Walking back to my room on a moonlit path textured by the shadows of tropical flora, I was already falling for the romance that a late tropical evening provides.

Some of the other evenings included a more formal, sit-down French restaurant, which was truly an excellent meal. If you’re familiar with the history of French colonization (aren’t we all?), you’ll know there’s a lot of French influence in the Caribbean when it comes to food. Their restaurant Thyme was no exception, with the whole place decked out like a 1980s bistro, and old French classics like coq au vin, done with local spices, graced the menu.

Though the food options were decent, everyone was truly operating on “island time,” and with a packed daily schedule I hoped that there would be more snack, or grab-and-go options when I only had an hour to eat between an excursion and an afternoon mixology class. (I know, it’s so tough, this life). Have I mentioned Libras aren’t very patient?

Taking in the relaxing qualities of the island

The next morning, I was deeply tempted to skip a massage in favor of going on a snorkeling excursion that the Scorpios of the group were embarking on, but tempered my desire to lunge toward change and leaned into my slow morning. I spent the morning tucked under a striped umbrella on the beach, alternating between reading a book and people-watching the horseback riders charging across the sand.

I made my way to the wellness cabana situated in the middle of the property. My zodiac had me scheduled for an aromatherapy massage, I learned this would be a focus on relaxation and lymphatic drainage. I’d never had lymphatic drainage done before, and wasn’t sure what to expect. Through gentle pressure on key points around my body, coupled with rich plant-driven scents, I decided it was my new favorite thing. I felt like my body was letting go of physical and spiritual junk. (Did I mention this was mere days post-election?) Afterward, I staggered in a daze over to a beach chair and promptly fell asleep until lunch. I guess I needed that massage after all.

      Engaging in mind-body activities

The following few days were a blur of skin-healing hot springs, the group exclaiming through the rest of the trip: “Touch my arm, it’s so soft!”, sightseeing at the Pitons (the conic mountains shaped by volcanic activity on the island), and excursions to local markets bursting with vibrant wares and snacks.

I did sneak into a late-morning water aerobics class on my last day that wasn’t on my schedule, but, as a Cancer Moon—a water-based sign—I do love the water. After 45 minutes of totally coordinated movement, with definitely no thrashing involved, I treated myself to what was probably the creamiest and most refreshing piña colada known to man, conveniently at the swim up bar just feet behind from where I had been gracefully dancing moments earlier. (Still incorporating my Libra-ness here: Balance!)

a pink drink is in the foreground of a sunset shown from a boat
      Photo: Emily Ziemski

      Riding off into the sunset

It was all capped off with a sunset cruise towards the Pitons. And what’s more romantic than the sun setting over the water while you crush rum punches with the new friends you made on this trip? Nothing. I was so in my element at this point, I didn’t even care that technically this was the designated “date night” of the boat cruise. Surrounded by couples jamming to the crooning voices of Bruno Mars and other romantic songs of the like, I was so deeply pleased to just *be* there. (As a Libra, I do love love, even if there isn’t any of it for me in my life right now.) And I think that was the biggest takeaway the Astro Twins wanted for us: Just be here.

      A few notes

This probably goes without saying, but still worth noting: If you don’t buy into astrology one iota, this specific trip is not for you. (But also, what? Do you hate fun?) Though I have a good base understanding of astrology—including my Big Three, what a cazimi means, and that the planets in my Third House affect how I communicate—it still helped that along on my trip were a few people even better versed in the inner workings of astrological practices, and helped me parse through why some of the activities were actually perfect for me.

Additionally, this trip only focuses mainly on your sun sign (for me, Libra), with a touch of info on how your moon sign can help you lean into your trip. So, if you’re hoping to fully understand the inner workings of your chart, you may be better off with a customized reading from the AstroTwins. However, fully going with your itinerary will probably unlock or teach you something new about yourself, with each day offering a theme that lends itself to a hallmark trait of your sign.

      Final thoughts

Honestly, I’m not usually much of an all-inclusive girl, but I was so busy with activities that it never felt like an all-inclusive. Only the elements of convenience really shone through for me: Not having to carry a wallet while wearing a bathing suit, being able to book everything I needed through the front desk, and having access to pools, beaches, and included transportation to and from outings all in one place.

The resort was created in the 1960s, and a lot of the elements of it including decor and general *vibe* do feel that way, though if you lean into it, it’s pretty fun and retro. But if you’re looking for an ultra-modern sleek resort, StolenTime may not be the right vibe for you. There aren’t even TVs or radios in the rooms, but who needs ‘em? Your itinerary is packed, anyway.
