ORGANIC TURMERIC ROOT – Frontier Co-op Organic Turmeric Root (Curcuma Longa) is the rhizome (root) of a flowering plant in the ginger family that is native to Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. The rhizomes are extracted and used for various foods, especially in Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines. In cut and sifted form, it adds flavoring to mustards, baked goods, and more.
VERSATILE INGREDIENT – This turmeric root is cut and sifted to both enhance the flavor and bring out a yellowish-gold color. Use some in biscuit mixes, sauces, and mustard, or add some to enhance your latest baked dish. Its golden touch of color brings a bitter flavor to deliver that mustard-like appeal to your table.
ROBUST, BITTER FLAVOR – Turmeric is most commonly linked with curry, especially Indian curry. You can also add it to mustards, pickles, dressings, eggs, and rice. It adds a pungent, bitter flavor to any dish.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC – Frontier Co-op Organic Turmeric Root is sourced from India, Nicaragua, and Guatemala using organic and non-irradiated methods. Our cut and sifted Turmeric is also kosher. There are no artificial additives or chemicals used at any stage of growing and manufacturing.
ABOUT US – Owned by stores and organizations that buy and sell our products, Frontier Co-op has been a member-owned cooperative since 1976. We support natural living and our products are never irradiated or treated with ETO. We’re committed to the health and welfare of the environment and everyone producing and consuming our botanical products.

The best turmeric tea I’ve tasted
I’ve been hooked on my local store brand’s turmeric ginger tea. I love it both for flavor and health benefits, but I am drinking a cup or so a day, and it adds up. I started preparing my own tea, as well as golden milk/golden latte, using this dried turmeric and let me tell you, I am so spoiled now! The flavor of this brand of turmeric is much less earthy and far more herby in flavor. It has a slight skunky flavor that comes out when it’s oversteeped, but honestly, I am hooked on this stuff. It’s much higher quality than what I am used to, and I don’t think I can go back now. Will be buying again.

TUMERIC ROOT
This is a quality turmeric root. It’s chunky, organic and fragrant. The color is true to turmeric and you get a bang for your buck. The bag is large.

What I love about this is . . .
. . . you can quickly grind it to powder in a coffee grinder and that powder tastes far fresher than turmeric powder available anywhere that I’ve found.

Great Value – Tiny bit goes a long way!
What a great find. If you buy turmeric to use as a medicinal or health supplement, this is way better than the finely ground stuff. I infuse 1/2 a teaspoon in boiling water, and it produces very strong, very deeply colored turmeric tea and you’ll get multiple infusions. I’ll never buy the powdered turmeric again.

just what i needed
I have arthritis and have taken Turmeric for years. My old dog got arthritis so i started giving him turmeric Now he runs around like he is 8 again but it was hard to get him to eat it. I am using this to make a tincture with glycerin as the base. The Turmeric is uniformly cut to a perfect size and smells terrific. The foil bag will help keep it fresh longer.

Good buy
This product is awesome. It’s real tumeric. I use it internally in a tea form. I also grind it down a bit in my molecaiete and pestle and use it in my facials or with lemon and salt to lighten and brighten dark areas like under arms.
