      When you lose a lot of weight or do it too quickly your underlying fat shrinks, but your skin

      Your skin’s firmness depends on collagen and elastin, proteins that keep it stretchy and tight.
      When you lose weight quickly, your fat shrinks faster than your skin can adjust because
      collagen and elastin take time to rebuild. As a result, the skin can’t fully snap back, leaving it

        radiofrequency treatments (three sessions) also showed significant reduction in
        abdominal and thigh circumferences, with no serious side effects.

      • A 2023 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study found that adults over 50
      • who consumed 15 grams of collagen peptides daily for 12 weeks experienced a
      • significant reduction in total body fat mass compared to those taking a placebo.

      Body fat was measured using both bioelectrical impedance and DEXA scans. These
      findings suggest that collagen supplementation may support fat loss, particularly in
      older adults.
      Strength training combined with collagen supplements produces a powerful synergy
      where muscles become firmer and fuller, while the skin receives the nourishment and
      stimulation it requires to remain tight and elastic.

      Final Thoughts
