  1. Happy customer

    Very good tea
This is a wonderful tea. It’s good hot or cold, with or without sweetener added. When it’s cold with sweetener added, it’s similar to a powdered soft drink in a cherry or strawberry flavor. Without sweetener, it’s tart and slightly fruity. Hibiscus makes herbal teas smell and taste better, but it’s great all by itself. It does have a pretty strong diuretic effect, so anyone taking diuretics or blood pressure medication should probably check with their physician to make sure it’s safe to consume. One cup consumed separately from medication is usually considered safe. There are many good medical articles about this online and they recommend checking with your physician if you’re being treated for high blood pressure. The price was good compared to what I see in local stores. The individual bags aren’t wrapped separately, but they come in a sliding zipper bag that’s durable. I simply put the entire bag into a storage container for added freshness. The color of the tea is a beautiful raspberry color. If you try to get a second cup out of one teabag, the second cup will be a really pale purplish-grey color. It won’t taste as strong, but it still has flavor. People who like lemon in water would probably enjoy this tea very much. It’s worth taking the time to research the health benefits of hibiscus tea.

How to make a great wine cooler
I love this tea. It has a good taste, especially when lightly sweetened, and it looks so beautiful when iced and served in a clear tumbler. It really does bring down my blood pressure (I’ve measured!), but I have to warn you that it does what first-step blood pressure drugs do — it is a diuretic, and then some. Also, I like to relax to some New Age or Blues when I drink my tea, which are also helpful in controlling stress, and thus blood pressure, so my study is somewhat less than double-blind or whatever, and it is a statistical study of one. But reviews are opinions written down, and this is mine.Moving on, it is a great tasting tea and blends well with other herbal teas as well as with regular tea.So, referring to the title of my post, I purchased a wine-in-a-box product that is not my favorite Riesling (Why is that so hard to find?) but Pinot Grigio, which is not my favorite under the best of circumstances. But I had a pot of my hibiscus tea in the fridge, so I tried mixing it. It tastes wonderful, the way you’d like a wine cooler to taste and it never does, and the very property that makes hibiscus healthy also seems to allay the effects of drinking cheap wine, something I surmised while conducting primary research, if you get my drift. (No hangover, or at least not much of one.)Here is the ratio I use:Four hibiscus tea bagsFour bags of other herbal tea (I like chamomile)1/4 to 1/2 cup sugar, depending on how much you like the enamel on your teethFour cups boiling waterNote: If you add the sugar before you add the boiling water, it makes the tea MUCH sweeter, so you need to make that adjustment, or possibly do a little trial-and-error study.Another note: I like my tea STRONG, but you might not want to use eight tea bags per pot.Let the tea steep as usual. Removing the tea bags is optional, since herbal tea, unlike Pekoe, does not get bitter with additional steeping. Chill — the tea, not you.Mix the tea and some wine according to how strong you want your drink to be. I do roughly half-and-half.You don’t necessarily have to use cheap wine, or even white wine. I found it works equally well with reds I don’t particularly like.I would love to hear from anyone who tries this, especially if you find a way to improve on it. Other than buying better wine, I mean.

    Delicious
I drink this tea just about every day and I mix it with others often. The coconut vanilla tastes so delicious I rarely use a sweetener. You also get a lot of tea bags for the price

Great, convenient tea for the price
This a good tea, not particularly mind-blowing, but great for the price. The package comes as a large box, shrink-wrapped. Inside is a large freezer-bag with a sliding plastic zipper on the top. The tea bags are large, however do not have strings attached, which is a minor inconvenience.Interested parties should note, traditional brewing techniques for rooibos tea calls for long steeping times in a vessel that doesn’t lose heat quickly. If you are brewing your tea in a mug or cup for less than five minutes, you should not complain that the tea is too weak. Sometimes this tea is steeped over the span of 1-2 days. If you want the true flavor of the rooibos to come out, boil a pot of water on the stove, and add the tea bags as appropriate. Then cover, reduce to minimum temperature or shut off heat and WAIT for at least five minutes. Serve the tea from the pot, but do not remove the tea bags. The flavor of this particular brand is not as pungent or full-bodied as Numi’s Rooibos, sold in bulk from their website, or some other brands. It is a decent alternative, and tastes very good if brewed properly.I did not do a bag count, and have used more than a few of these tea-bags already, so I can’t speak to the actual number provided.Minus one star for large, awkward tea-bags with no string. This is at most, a very minor inconvenience. This is a great end-of-the-day non-caffeinated tea, full of antioxidants. For those of you who have not had rooibos tea before, I would suggest finding a smaller package elsewhere to see if you like it. It has an earthy taste, and depending on the brand of tea you get, can taste like vanilla, or licorice. the complexity and strength of the taste increases with steeping time. Longer steeped tea is traditionally served with milk and optional sugar. Rooibos can be mild, and so also blends well with other teas and spices. It makes for an interesting Arnold Palmer. It also mixes well with mint tea. Give it a try.

Frequent wrong shuppments but great tea
I love this brand of tea but every time I order 2 different types of tea, one box will be Not what I ordered. So unfortunately I never got to try this tea when I ordered it. FYI they will not let you return the wrong shipment, so you’re stuck with whatever they send you. I got children’s tea instead. Okay but not what I wanted

  6. HRPuff&Stuff

Apparently bagged in Colorado – the tea is fresh, nicely zip locked and tea bags are not old or tatty. I was looking for the main tea used in Twinnings blended Prince of Wales Tea that was discontinued and Keemun is also a nice evening tea. Just worried if there was any cross contamination with Pineapple Express … naw – this is organic! Dude! I will order more tea from them in a bit but the boxes have a lot of tea bags and a person’s has only one bladder – so I have to pace it out before I order more.

  7. Lise

This product arrived early and was well packaged. The Rooibos tea tastes great and contains powerful antioxidants which can empower your immune system. I had read that it is great before bedtime. It worked great for me as it put me to sleep within an hour!

  8. X-tremeHarryPotterFan

The tea when consumed plain (without milk and sugar) has a soothing taste.

  9. SoccerMom

Finally found a place that sells rooibos tea in big quantity. This one is the original flavor, not vanilla or any other flavor. I just love it and will definitely order more

  10. Finlay James

I bought this tea because it was a good price. It’s OK, but it’s not going to become my new favorite by any means. I have to use two tea bags in my 20 oz mug to get a decent flavour, and even then it’s pretty mild. I like lemon tea and I like mint tea, but this particular combination in this brand is just a bit odd. I’ll get through it though, but I won’t buy it again. I hope you enjoy it more than me!
