    Beautiful and comfortable
    Love the rug! It’s softer and plushier than I expected even in bare feet. The color and size (7×7 square) are perfect for our room. It’s beachy yet cozy and very natural.

    Natural Luxury
    Absolutely amazing! In love! This rug is so well made and just gorgeous. It comes kinda folded and rolled which made me nervous but the braiding and looping is so thick, once you unfold it, it lies perfectly flat. I got the 9×12 size. The rug also kinda gives your feet a massage. Just awesome! I truly love this rug and it’s just such a great price for an ultra luxury textured look.

    Beautifully, Thickly Woven!
    This is a truly beautiful jute rug. Thick and wonderfully nubby; it feels marvelous on bare feet! Purchased this rug because jute fiber always performs extremely well in high traffic areas and homes with dogs. Note: a jute rug is a scratching posts for cats!

    It’s a Superior Jute Rug
    I read so many reviews and looked at so many rugs both online and at stores, and was nervous to pull the trigger, as we needed the large size, 10 x 14. We’ve had jute rugs before, including in this family room which is an 18 x 32 foot space. When we opened this rug there was no smell. NOT AT ALL. It unrolled and we haven’t vacuumed it after two days, there was no debris. It feels great to your feet in socks, though not so great in bare feet. We did order a pad for it, a 1/4 inch pad, and will put it under when it gets here soon. Did I mention the rug came four days early? I was thrilled (but it only had to come from two counties over). I suggest the farther you’re shipping the more wear on the rug wrapping, obviously. It came on a rainy day with those dessicant things (anti-moisture packets) rolled up in it, wrapped entirely in plastic. We just could not be more pleased with this rug and the value. Our previous jute rug was from a furniture store and we probably paid four times more for it at least. Recommend this rug highly, IF you’re looking for that designer look with the chunky texture it brings to a big room. I will report back if it wears very quickly or puts out more than normal “dirt” below. I expect a little of that from natural fiber rugs and this is a high traffic area. But for the $ I think it’s a great value!

    The best jute rug!
    I have purchased several of these rugs and have never been disappointed. This rug is thick & chunky so it lays flat without any raised corner problems. It is soft enough to walk on in bare feet—maybe a few stiff fibers at first, but after a week or so, the rug adjusts. I shake and vacuum the rug outside before bringing it in to alleviate the normal “settling and shedding” of rug/dirt particles that just are part of using natural jute. For normal cleaning, they are easily vacuumed (on “flat surface setting”—not “carpet setting”) but they really don’t show dirt. I use a thin non-slip rug pad to prevent any crawling. Jute rugs complement so many decorating styles and the natural color works well with most decor. Safavieh offers the best value for rugs that I have found. I trust them for description, color, quality, size, and value. Can’t ask for more.

    Not Recommended
    I ordered the 8 X 10. It is a very heavy thick weave and is not at all comfortable to walk on. I was remodeling the room it was intended for, so I didn’t open it and put it on the floor for quite some time after receiving it. It has now been on the floor and with very light traffic for about a week. Tonight I looked underneath the rug and it is filthy dirty. The jute was evidently not clean and has transferred dirt to my floor which is upsetting. I’m not sure what I am going to do with it, but would not have purchased if I had known the texture of the weave and the problem with dirt and particles of stuff falling out of the rug.

    NOT 9” long!
    This rug is beautiful. It’s heavy and great quality. No odors at all. It came in perfect condition. My issue is the size. The rug is not 9×12 as stated, it is 8.6×12. Very frustrating. As you can see by the 9×12 rug pad, it really falls short.

    The “rug” is beautiful.
    I/we absolutely LOVE this “rug.” We bought it intending for it serve as a welcome mat inside the front door, but it was way too thick (despite the look online) for the door to breach. We shifted other area rugs around and placed this one in front of the sink, where I spend a lot of time! And even though it’s thick, and maybe too rough for sensitive feet, it’sperfect for me, almost like a mini foot massage. PLUS! It’s very attractive.

    Compre esta alfombra de yute, con reservas por las reseñas que lei, pero el precio fue permisible para experimentar, quería una alfombra de yute de buena calidad, con trenzado estético, y esta parecía esto. Fue grata la sorpresa recibirla, los materiales todos naturales (hasta suaves) y con muy buena calidad de terminados. Obviamente por el tipo de material se debe barrer y aspirar de forma regular, pero es parte de una alfombra de este tipo. Precio/calidad excelente!

    I got the square 5×5 and it’s exactly what I was looking for ! The quality is amazing! It looks high end. The threads ante large, the carpet is thick and the colour is as shown. It was very well packaged and the care instructions were clear. The smell of the jute was gone after one day
