BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN – Absolutely recommend
The book is comprehensive, well-written, all-inclusive! If you are just beginning to explore herbalism, or already have a working basis, you will love this book. It’s the perfect gift anytime – for yourself or others.I ordered this for my neice, but apparently, she already knows everything there is know, LOL, So I’m keeping it for myself and can use as a ready reference and an encyclopedia of medicinal herbs. Grow them, buy them how to’s. Can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend.

Love this book!
This book is very thick. It has so many herbal remedies with ingredients and how to make them. They also show you different herbs with their pictures and what parts of the herbs to use.

Information is outstanding
I have just started reading this but already the discussion on individual energies has helped me to understand myself and my farm animals: why someone responds to one herb well but does not help someone else. The tooth powder recipe is excellent. I canât wait to get further into the book. It is so good I got another copy for a friend.

Good Primerâ¦
but not perfect. I checked this book out of my local library, and liked it enough to buy it for myself. There are a few things though that keep me from giving it a 5 star review. When discussing the properties of various plants, there is not enough description nor good enough pictures to identify the plant unless you are already familiar with it. She also does not really cover how to harvest and preserve plants you forage or grow yourself. Also, some of her recipes are vague in their usage and application. For example, she has a recipe under âmenopauseâ where she directs the reader to use a dropper or two a day, but doesnât discuss what aspect of menopause it is for. Is it to bring it on? Is it for hot flashes? Is it to regulate hormones? This needs to be addressed to make the recipe useful for someone. Lastly, the 3 indexes are a big fail. It would make so much more sense to make one general index where I could find anything regardless of whether it was an ingredient or an ailment. All in all, I like this book; it has a lot of really good information. I would recommend it; however, I feel there is room for improvement.

This book is beautifully detailed and illustrated. Iâm a visual learner so I was a little worried that the pictures would be muddy or blurry, but they arenât. Its a great book for anyone just beginning their plant medicine journey
